Today, the Cindy Axne for Congress campaign highlighted a new ad that showcases Cindy Axne’s record of fighting for Iowa families, workers, and those facing financial difficulties as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The ad, titled “Delivered,” cites Cindy Axne’s advocacy for economic programs aimed at protecting Iowans – including stimulus checks for Iowa individuals and their dependents, enhanced unemployment benefits for Iowans still out of work, and protections for families at risk of losing their homes.
“COVID affected us all. My husband got laid off, and as soon as he was working again, I lost my job,” Fran Parr from Council Bluffs tells viewers in the new ad. “Cindy Axne said she’d stand up for Iowa families, and she has.”
The new ad is being broadcast in both the Des Moines and Council Bluffs media markets.
Full Script:
Fran Parr: COVID affected us all – my husband got laid off and as soon as he was working again, I lost my job.
Cindy Axne said she’d stand up for Iowa families – and she has.
Narrator: Cindy Axne helped get twelve-hundred-dollar payments to most Iowa adults, five hundred dollars for children…
…and while Washington politicians bicker, Cindy will keep fighting for the aid Iowan’s need; protecting unemployment benefits and making sure families can stay in their homes.
Cindy: I’m Cindy Axne, and I approve this message, because I won’t stop until Iowa’s economy is back on track.
