Des Moines Register: Axne really listens to Iowans’ concerns (Letter to the Editor)
October 31, 2018
Like so many Americans, I am frustrated with the deep partisan divisions that define our current political climate.
On Nov. 6, I am going to do something about it. I am voting for Cindy Axne for Congress in the 3rd District. I urge every voter who is concerned about the future of our state and our country to join me.
With her extensive experience in both business and public service, she has what it takes to bring people together to tackle the many urgent issues facing our communities, state, country and planet.
With her extensive experience in both business and public service, she has what it takes to bring people together to tackle the many urgent issues facing our communities, state, country and planet.
Axne stepped up to run for office for the first time because she is committed to defending the progress we have worked so hard to make on issues like heath care, giving working families a fair shot and preserving our natural resources for future generations.
Unlike our current representative, Rep. David Young, who prioritizes his political party over the Iowans he was elected to serve, Axne has the courage to do what’s right for Iowa and not what’s politically convenient in Washington.
Real leaders listen and work to understand different perspectives. They aren’t blinded by partisan labels.
Our corner of Iowa needs a representative who will always put our interests first when making important decisions that impact our world.
